By now, you've probably heard of the notorious, secret female-only Australian Facebook group Bad Girls Advice BGA , a place where "women can be themselves. They trolled a Sydney man last year for offending one of their own. Since then, membership has quadrupled to over , But what members haven't been told is that late last year administrators of the page shared nude pics with a rival blokes-only group as a kind of "peace offering" to keep the men away. The two groups often clash online. According to a leaked BGA admin conversation, the photos - originally posted by women for women in a 'body positive' thread - were sent to the men to the men after a dispute. A BGA admin contacted by Hack confirmed this happened, but says the admins had gained the consent of the women in the photos to share them. BGA members are encouraged to share 'body positive' photos and experiences and 'celebrate' their sexuality in a safe female-only space. The BGA admin told Hack she contacted each of the women in the photos and asked if she could send their photo to the men, with their names scrubbed out. The admin provided the name of a BGA member who then told Hack she was one of the girls in the photos and she gave consent.

Story highlights Author Naomi Wolf says recent controversies reveal biased views toward women's bodies The Pussy Riot trial and Arab Spring protests showed women stripped of autonomy Women's bodies are battlegrounds used to wage culture wars, Wolf says It's scandalous when women take ownership of their own bodies, Wolf contends. It seems as if we are in a time of unprecedented struggle over the meaning of women's bodies and sexuality. Controversy is swirling about an American University professor who breast-fed a baby in class ; topless photos of Kate Middleton have been released ; and a Time magazine cover showing a mother breast-feeding her toddler sparked even more tittering in May. It is not just the breast that is contested: Pussy Riot, the punk band, was sentenced to two years in a Russian prison after a staged performance in which they did high kicks that showed too much of their bodies. They tried, from prison, to explain "what pussy meant" and "what riot meant. Michigan representative Lisa Brown got into hot water -- and fought back -- for using the words 'my vagina' in the Michigan statehouse. Michigan women supported her by standing in front of the statehouse with a giant "V" symbol and spelling out the words 'VAGINA' in pink letters. Young women in Tahrir Square protesting in the Arab Spring were punished by imprisonment -- and vaginal exams by armed strangers for "virginity tests. Naomi Wolf. We are at an important crossroads in which it is becoming clearer to women around the world that, as one feminist artist put it, "your body is a battleground.

I was kind of astonished recently after going on a Comixology binge and having two twin daughters as of 2 years ago that even recent, modern comics are pretty much still all tits and ass on the female characters to an absurd degree. Also, one small thing from the original article:. The sooner the better. It gets so damn tiring. This documentary filmmaker is running a Kickstarter, and thanks to a few obsessives on 4chan, Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube, both of the filmmakers, the documentary participants, and many of the Kickstarter backers are being harassed and doxed. What powers does this version of Wonder Girl have? If she can defy gravity, perhaps her breasts can too. I read the article, there are some valid points, then I started to read the responses from the readers there. Granted not nearly all of them, but the top 25 at least, none of which were boyrage or misogynistic.
If you fire up a new feature on Snapchat you can see exactly what your neighbors are up to, and some of it is quite shocking. Snapchat has introduced a new maps feature that allows users to view photos and videos that are posted from their area. What has privacy experts concerned is the fact that those photos appear on a map from the exact location where they were taken. While trying out the feature we found some pretty disturbing images posted from people's homes. One shot of what looks like pounds of illegal marijuana was clearly uploaded from a home in Monroe. The map shows a glowing blue spot over a home in a neighborhood near the center of town. When the spot is clicked the video appears showing the owner's illegal inventory of pot. Another series of videos shows girls near Newburgh in tight shirts grabbing each others' breasts. One video has a woman pulling off the shirt of another while covering the girls breasts with her hands.
